LFR, summer, etc

So I've been a bit slack about updating this. Here's the final 2 shows for Live Fast Rules for the semester:

April 18th: Ground:Xero (black metal from Lawrenceville/Athens)
April 25th: the Dumps (heavy sludge metal from Athens)

Sometime in May: A Silence Falls Between Us (rerecording because our equipment died)

Stay tuned over the summer for announcements of Live Fast Rules dates for the fall.

Also keep listening this summer, because we won't have live bands (and Deef will be graduating) so I, Greg, will be having lots of special stuff to play, plenty of local metal, and whatever shenanigans I can think of.

Also keep an ear out for our exclusive interview with High on Fire!! after they come to Athens Jan. 28th at the 40 Watt. I expect everyone to be in attendance. Metal bands of this caliber almost never come to Athens. Perhaps they will if folks show up and support heavy music. Also on the bill are Buried Inside, the Bronx, and Big Business. Our new site is almost ready and it promises to be awesome and informative.

New Semester, Same Awesome Music

Greg and Deef are now the DJs for Loud Fast Rules, just like the good ol' days. We've been cut back to 2 hours, but we hope to expand and have the Midnight Snack album on Tuesday's be metal so that you get to hear the whole second half of a brand new metal release at 12. Requests can be instant messaged to wuogger or called in at (706) 542-4567. Also keep an eye out for our soon to be completed new official website which will feature a request form and past playlists.

As always we need more local bands to come play Live Fast Rules. The only tenative show so far is Ender's Game (prog metal) from Atlanta on Feb. 7th. Soon to be scheduled are Of Legend and Cobra Clutch (both Athens hardcore), Coulier (instrumental/experimental/awesome), Uther Pendragon (power metal! from Atlanta), and a return performance with From Exile and featuring a whole new set from their recently recorded LP.
